Riviera Marina Fishing Report

We have some lake and river news and the stripers are happening. We are also getting some rainbow trout action which is a big thanks to the folks at the WillowBeach Hatchery.
Our local angler Raul Gonzalez had gone back out to his fishing spot and landed a nice striper. Raúl was fishing from shore up on Lake Mohave using anchovies in the Telephone Cove area. His fish weighed in at 13.44 pounds and was 33 and 3/4 inches. This is a nice weight for this length of striper and can give you an idea of what your fish might weigh by getting a good measurement of its length.
Here on the Colorado River below the Davis Dam our local angler Patrick Fordham was using anchovies to land his stripers. They weighed in at 2.76 ponds and the other was 2 pounds the longer fish was 20 and 3/8s and the smaller one at 18 inches. I did get word that Community Park has been producing limits of trout from shore. Anglers are having success using night crawlers and power bait. While various spinners are working well and different types of grubs in a brown or green color even the lighter colors in a white or pearl have been working well. I did get a good word that some glide baits have been doing well in the community park area for the larger stripers. If you are having some luck with landing some of these fish we sure hope to see you in to share that catch.
Hope this helps for now and we thank you for all of your support.
